The best Windows yet. The only thing I don't like are the colour schemes - too light and pastelly for this man. I have been able to run most of my older game titles like BF1942 using the compatibility mode set to win98 and as an administrator. I did not have any Punkbuster issues that I read about.

Hi just purchased this ,and when I goto custom install that's what it says not sure what it means does it mean the cd drive is not 64 bit comp? Or something else? Thanks for any help

Hey Jason! =)
Check that your CD/DVD drive is set as the primary boot drive in the BIOS. If it is and you still get this error, are you using a SATA or IDE type drive? If you are using an IDE drive the problem should be easily solved by switching it out with a new SATA drive (which is only $22).

There are a few BIOS setting changes you can attempt as well (like turning off IDE emulation for SATA drives) but the last time I got this error that didn't work for me either.

Im thinking of replacing my old mobo and cpu with an AMD Fx4100 and a ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS mobo. my question is this, can i run my old win XP 32 bit and max out my RAM on the new board or do i have to be running a 64 bit version? I've read many things and its only getting me more confused, so any feedback would help :)

Hi Dave!

If you are running a 32bit operating system you are going to only be able to use 4gb of RAM. If you want to Max out your boards RAM you will need a 64 bit operating system(looks to be 8gb from the asus website:http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3Plus/M5A78LM_LX/#specifications ) This product should work well for you.
